RBS Hey / Neve Shamir

A new master-planned district with modern housing, broad boulevards, and an inclusive Anglo orientation.

Neve Shamir is one of Beit Shemesh’s newest master-planned areas, with contemporary architecture, broad tree-lined boulevards, valley views, and planned amenities that include a future country club. It attracts Religious-Zionist, Modern Orthodox, and American Yeshivish families looking to help shape a growing community.

The appeal is forward-looking: residents gain modern construction and thoughtfully planned public space, but they must also accept that some commercial and civic amenities remain in development. Families who enjoy helping create institutions may find that process especially rewarding.

Education

Educational infrastructure is expanding in phases. The neighborhood already includes Anglo girls’ education, state-religious options, Chareidi public frameworks, and early-childhood programs.

School infrastructure is opening in stages rather than arriving all at once. Existing options already represent several religious approaches, and the planned growth should make the neighborhood less dependent on schools elsewhere in Beit Shemesh over time.

Synagogues and community life

The area’s newer synagogues emphasize community building, Shabbat programming, adult education, and the integration of English-speaking families. New kehillos are deliberately focused on welcoming residents and creating shared identity. English-language access, Shabbos programming, and adult learning help families form connections before the neighborhood has decades of established tradition behind it.

Shopping and services

Commercial areas are still filling in. Residents currently supplement local services with shopping centers in RBS Aleph and nearby districts. Retail growth has not yet fully caught up with residential development. Families should expect to use nearby districts for some shopping and services while watching local commercial areas steadily expand.

Parks and recreation

Linear parks, exercise areas, bicycle paths, walking trails, and modern playgrounds are integral to the neighborhood plan. Unlike neighborhoods where open space was added later, Neve Shamir’s recreation network is part of the original plan. Linear parks and dedicated cycling, walking, fitness, and play areas support a more active suburban lifestyle.

Mishkenot Yaakov

Mishkenot Yaakov places residents at the busiest and most convenient point of RBS Aleph. This compact Yeshivish enclave is best known for immediate access to the Merkaz, public transportation, established schools, and a dense network of minyanim and Torah learning.

M3 (Mem Shalosh)

M3 offers a quieter, more spacious alternative to the denser centers of Ramat Beit Shemesh. Larger homes, a primarily American Yeshivish population, and an open valley-edge setting give the neighborhood a suburban feel while keeping the services of Aleph and Gimmel close at hand.

Mishkafayim

Mishkafayim is a small, upscale ridge community for families who value newer construction, lower density, and wide views. Although primarily residential, it remains closely connected to the schools, shopping, health services, and parks of greater RBS Aleph.
